Early Years Pupil Premium

The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is additional funding for schools and settings to improve the quality of provision for disadvantaged 3 and 4 year olds. Once a child becomes eligible for EYPP they retain the funding for the remainder of the academic year.

Who is eligible for EYPP?

Families who are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:

  • Income support.
  • Income based Jobseekers Allowance.
  • Income related Employment and Support Allowance.
  • Support under Part V1 of the Imigration and Asylum Act 1999.
  • The guararteed element of State Pension Credit.
  • Child Tax Credit (unless entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190.
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after qualification for Working Tax Credit.

Children who have:

  • Been looked after by the local authority for at least a day.
  • Been adopted from care.
  • Children subject to a child arrangement order.
