Personal Development
Whilst our core and Reading Enhanced curriculum provides opportunities for children to learn and have access to different experiences, our Enrichment is an additional layer. This is a vital part of our ethos – as it provides opportunities that children may not have on a day to day basis outside of school and also has an element of individual choice, through after-school clubs, where children can identify and develop their own interests.
Our Aims
At Delta Academies Trust, we want all of our pupils to become the very best people they can be. We want them to:
- become well-rounded, knowledgeable citizens who are as well prepared as possible for life ahead
- be proud of who they are
- confidently communicate their knowledge, views and dreams effectively.
- recognise and celebrate their own uniqueness and that of others
The Personal Development Framework
Our personal development framework is made up of two parts:
- Delta Stars – An offer of personal development experiences and opportunities across 16 strands.
- The personal, social and health education curriculum – supported by the ‘Jigsaw’ programme and resources.
