Pupil Leadership

At our school, pupil voice and leadership are at the heart of everything we do. Alongside our School Parliament, we provide a wide range of additional leadership opportunities through our Ambassador roles.

These ambassadors are appointed by the School Parliament, either collectively or through specific ministers who oversee each area. This ensures that our leadership structure is democratic, purposeful and driven by the needs of our school community.

Our ambassadors act as role models for others, working closely with staff to lead initiatives, promote key values and support the day-to-day life of the school.

Our Ambassador Roles

Thrive Ambassadors

Our Thrive Ambassadors support the emotional wellbeing of pupils across the school. They promote positive mental health, kindness and inclusion, helping to ensure that everyone feels safe, valued and ready to learn.

Through activities, peer support and working alongside staff, they help embed a whole-school approach to wellbeing, reflecting the wider Thrive ethos.

Reading Ambassadors

Our Reading Ambassadors are passionate about promoting a love of reading across the school. They support the running of the library, recommend books and help to organise reading events and initiatives.

They also work with younger pupils to encourage engagement with books and storytelling, helping to build strong reading habits and a positive reading culture throughout the school.

Sports Ambassadors

Our Sports Ambassadors play a key role in keeping our school active. They lead and organise games during breaktimes and lunchtimes, encouraging participation and teamwork.

Working alongside staff, they help to promote physical activity, develop structured play opportunities and support events such as Sports Day, ensuring all pupils can take part and achieve their best.

Lunchtime Ambassadors

Our Lunchtime Ambassadors help to ensure that lunchtimes are safe, enjoyable and well-organised. They support staff in maintaining positive behaviour, assist younger pupils and help to lead playground games and activities.

Their role contributes to a calm and happy environment, where all pupils can enjoy social time and feel included.

Attendance Ambassadors

Our Attendance Ambassadors promote the importance of excellent attendance across the school. They help to lead initiatives, celebrate success and encourage all pupils to attend regularly and on time.

Through assemblies, events and communication with peers, they help to raise awareness of how good attendance supports learning, progress and future success.

Developing Future Leaders

Through our ambassador roles, pupils develop confidence, responsibility and leadership skills that prepare them for the future. They work collaboratively with staff and peers, contribute to decision-making and play an active role in shaping our school community.

This wider leadership structure ensures that every pupil has the opportunity to make a difference and be a positive ambassador for our school.
